The Uwharrie Chair Company’s unique outdoor furniture collections combine classic American styling with extraordinary comfort and character.  These heavy, generously scaled products can be ordered in either kiln-dried pressure treated southern yellow pine, an American renewable resource or Premium Uwharrie Polymer, a recycled pre-consumer vinyl.

Choice of Treated Outdoor Pine Wood in Many Colors  - crafted of hand selected, domestically harvested pressure treated solid pine. Available in 1” thick pine, the wood of choice for ski lodge decks, marina docks and landscape walks. Treated lumber offers distinct advantages over the traditional outdoor materials. It may be stained or painted (or left natural) and it’s milled from a renewable resource, plantation grown southern pine. Uwharrie Chair Company’s 1” thick wooden outdoor furniture has a limited lifetime warrantee against rot, water damage and insect infestation.  

Choice of Premium Vinyl Polymer in Many Colors  - eco friendly outdoor furniture crafted from Premium Uwharrie Polymer has a hand painted matte finish that provides the luxurious look and feel of wood, with the ability to touch up stained or faded surfaces. It’s perfect for outdoor use; warranted for a lifetime against splitting, rotting, decaying, chipping, water damage and insect infestation.

Finish Options on Treated Outdoor Pine Furniture

Natural Finish: unfinished wood left outdoors will eventually turn a graceful patina silver. The silver (oxidation reaction) can be sanded off later if desired and then re-finished with stain or paint.

Washed Finish: one coat of selected deluted (thinned) paint followed by some sanding. This will transmit some wood grain patterns throughout the furniture. Almost 30 color choices.

Distressed Finish: a rustic weathered antique appearance with multiple heavy coats of paint. Some heavy edge sanding combined with some tasteful nicks and gougesto offer a charming aged look. Almost 30 color choices.
