Skagerak Denmark’s products are mainly manufactured in Thailand and Indonesia.

Skagerak Denmark works together with a handful of suppliers for whom we are a large customer and to whom we are committed to a long-standing partnership. This enables us to maximise our influence on the manufacturing processes and conditions at the supplier companies and thus work to achieve ongoing environmental improvements.

For instance, it is crucial for occupational health that employees do not have to work in dust-filled environments. Accordingly, we have been instrumental in bringing about the installation and commissioning of ventilation systems at several of our external suppliers.

At the same time, we ensure that basic safety gear is available in the form of ear protectors, protective goggles and masks and we make sure the employees are thoroughly trained in how to use the gear.

For the very reason that our working relationship with external suppliers is long-term, the suppliers are open to dialogue which we continuously make use of to develop and improve the working environment of the employees. All suppliers of Skagerak Denmark must also adopt our Code of Conduct.

Code of Conduct

All manufacturers of Skagerak Denmark products adopt a Code of Conduct through which they undertake not to use child labour, to buy all wood legally, to ensure optimum working conditions for employees and to participate actively in making ongoing improvements of manufacturing conditions for the purpose of maximising plant safety, etc.

This Skagerak Grenen bench is a contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional garden furniture found in the gardens of the Skaw artists in the late 19th century. Today’s version emphasizes comfort, while maintaining the classic cozy ambience. The furniture is designed with solid teak slats, mounted on a frame of galvanized, green-lacquered steel.

If you’re looking for authentic nostalgia and a classic table, Grenen is the obvious choice.
These procducts are also practical because they can be folded when not in use.

The Grenen line is modeled on the furniture that adorned the gardens of Skagen back in the 1800s. This bench has lovely soft shapes and elegant curves that exude nostalgia and tradition.
