So you have decided that you want to go with teak outdoor furniture, but you are just having trouble deciding the type of teak patio tables to choose from. There are many shapes of teak tables, such as oval teak tables, rectangular teak tables, round teak tables and square teak tables. There are also some unusual teak tables out there in the market place, but for now I will touch just on the basics.

All of the teak tables mentioned above can be found in either fixed or extension tops. The extension tops are pretty handy for several reasons. They can be altered easily to a short length (drop leafs) or extended when you have a larger group. We have found over the years that most keep their tables fully extended to keep things simple and to allow the entire table surface to age/weather uniformly. We the seller tend to like the teak extension tables so we can handle and ship them in the short dimension to help keep the shipping costs down. Of course, this savings is ultimately passed on to you the customer. IT IS IMPORTANT NOT TO LIFT AND MOVE THESE TEAK EXTENSION TABLES WHEN FULLY EXTENDED. This can sometimes severally damage the table.

Much of the differences in teak tables are related to the base. You can buy teak patio tables with corner posts, criss cross pedestals, trestle pedestals and teak gateleg tables/teak folding tables. All four of these are shown below in order.
